Dr Ioannis Mylonas works in Institute of Plant Breeding and Genetic Resources. He is a researcher in Cereal Genetic & Breeding and associate manager in Greek Gene Bank. He has deep knowledge in scientific issues related to genetic resources, cereals, plant breeding, tolerance to stresses and resources use efficiency. He has established collaborations with partners across Europe and Mediterranean and participated in 15 European and national research programs for cereals and legumes related to: plant breeding, evaluation of genotypes (e.g. landraces) for tolerance to abiotic and biotic stress, genetic diversity of landraces and genetic resources, adaption to climate changes and to low inputs, GxE interaction and stability of production, molecular techniques, quality parameters. He has published research work in scientific journals (15 posts) (www.scopus.com), and in Foreign and Greek conferences (70). He has educational certification for adult training from the National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications & Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP).
