BET aims to accelerate the transformation of the tourism sector by equipping tourism professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and educators in Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Higher Education with the applied knowledge and tools required to foster the adoption of emerging tourism types that integrate sustainability, digitalisation, and regenerative business practices, ensuring a more resilient, innovative, and competitive tourism ecosystem in Europe and beyond.

1. Fostering new, innovative and multidisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning.
2. Supporting skills development in the deep tech domains; supporting Europe’s innovation capacity by broadening its talent pool in these new, disruptive technologies.
3. Fostering the setting up of incubators within education and training institutions across Europe.
4. Fostering corporate social responsibility.
5. Stimulating a sense of initiative and entrepreneurial attitudes, mind-sets and skills.
6. Improving the quality and relevance of skills developed and certified.
7. Facilitating the flow and co-creation of knowledge between higher education and vocational education and training, research, the public sector and the business sector.
8. Building and supporting effective and efficient higher education and vocational education and training systems.

5. Familiarize themselves with EU policies and initiatives regarding environmental and social issues (SDGs, Green Deal, EU Recovery Plan).
6. Enrichment of VET/HE educators on advanced VET provision practices and on the project related topics.
7. Open access learning resources.
8. Accreditation for Tourism Professionals, Tourism Students, Business Professionals (Advisors), VET/HE Educators.
9. Opportunities for networking and receiving business coaching services.
10. Strategic and sustainable cooperation among vocational education and training, higher education and enterprises.
11. Implementation of the EU Communication on the Renewed Agenda for Higher Education, and contribution to the creation of a European Education Area.
