Weed Sience
The research focuses on the study of the relationship between weeds, crops and agroecosystems. It emphasizes the biology and ecology of weeds, the mechanisms of their competition with crops for essential resources such as water, nutrients, light, and space, as well as the interactions between weeds and cultivated plants. A central focus is Integrated Weed Management, within the framework of sustainable and integrated agricultural production management.
- Study and evaluation of chemical, mechanical, biological, and cultural weed control methods.
- Evaluation of new herbicides in terms of their selectivity and efficacy.
- Study, management, and mapping of herbicide resistance.
- Development of integrated and sustainable weed management systems.
- All studies are applied in glasshouse and field.
