- Evaluation of genetic, phenotypic and chemo- diversity of MAPs populations
- Clonal selection of individuals of MAPs superior in biomass production, bioactive compounds and plant architecture
- Conventional breeding of MAPs (Honeycomb design, mass selection etc.)
- Development of bred cultivars of MAPs characterized from high homogeneity for industrial cropping
- Application of state-of-the art biotechnological tools (functional genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics) for the development of molecular markers, identification of novel bioactive compounds and investigation of their biosynthesis
